Funded by National Science Council

General Information

Project Beneficiaries

Professors, researchers, scientists, engineers, senior technicians and graduate students of Association for Science Cooperation in Asia (ASCA) Member Countries.

Project Description

The Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC) organizes a workshop on Instrument Technology for Applications and Development in NanoBiology & Biosensors. This is being offered to all Researchers from ASCA countries. The duration of the workshop is two weeks, starting from October 20 to October 31.

For the details activities of the workshop, please refer to the website at http://www.itrc.org.tw/ISIT/index-e.php.

Participants

Participants should be coming from ASCA member countries. A Bachelor's Degree (in Science or Engineering) or higher is required. The participants are expected to be researchers or engineers who are presently undertaking instrument related research and with interest on developing Nanotechnology and Nanobiotechnology. Participants are required to have a good command of English or Chinese. A certificate of participation will be given to the attendees after completing the workshop.

Please prepare 10 mins presentation about self and currently research.
P.S. It will be present sooner after register.

Brief Description of the Implementing Organization

The Instrument Technology Research Center is reorganized from Precision Instrument Development Center was founded by the National Science Council in 1974. The primary mission of the Center are developing precision instruments, providing instrument maintenance services and instrument information, support to academic research, as well as training of instrumentation professionals.

ITRC has Optoelectronic and Remote sensing laboratories, Nano technology laboratories, Vacuum technology laboratories, an Optical shop, a Machine shop, an Electronics shop and a Training Section, which provide advance software and hardware for research and development as well as professional trainings. Other information, can be found in our web site at http://www.itrc.org.tw/ISIT/index-e.php.

Financial Requirements

The round-trip air tickets (excluding stop-over hotel fees, transit fees and service charges in the airport) of the participants will be reimbursed to them after submitting to the organizers the official receipt of the tickets.

Health Check

Original copy of each candidate's medical examination report must be mailed to ITRC after final acceptance is confirmed. He/she must be retested for HIV, VDRL, TPHA test and Hepatitis C after arriving in Taiwan according to our government's regulations. If the participant refuses to take the test, he/she will be asked to leave Taiwan at once.

If Medical treatment is required, ITRC will assist the participant to undergo best medical care.
