Introduction
The large aspheric mirror is the key component of the aerospace remote-sensing payloads. Nowadays, the new technology to manufacture large lenses has been successfully developed by ITRC. Not only is the efficiency of the aspheric mirror production well improved but also the cost-down is taken into consideration. It is for this reason that ITRC has made a breakthrough in the manufacturing technology of large aspheric mirror in Taiwan and was awarded the gold prize for the great contribution to the lens-making technology by the Optical Engineering Society in 2002.
