Development of Precision Decenter Measurement Instrument
Purpose
Nowadays, as the digital contents and related industries are glowing tremendously, the market demand of small size optical lens and components is getting extremely increased as well, such as pick up lens, digital camera lens, cell phone lens, and optical communication elements. If there exists the non-coincidence of optical axis and mechanical axis, it will cause the centering error in the optical system. ITRC has developed the precision decenter measurement instrument, which is based on one non-destructive method, and would like to offer the industries with new testing reference of optical lens decenter inspection.
Specifications & Features
The design concept for precision decenter measurement instrument is focusing on the reliability and repeatability of measuring data, and the simplicity in the calibration process. The measurement principle solves the difficulties of measuring small aspherical lens in traditional ways, and adopts the laser tracing method to determine the centering error of optical component by new automated optical inspection ideas. The measuring system contains three main modules, which are (1) light source and detector, (2) pc-based controlled positioning stage, (3) signal processing and data analyzing software. In additions, this instrument is developed for some useful features listed as follows:
- Completely automated non-destructive measurement

- Optical lens with special geometry is available
- On-line measurement for multi-pieces lens is available
